Jen, born and raised in Idaho, is a fitness enthusiast with experience in CrossFit, running, triathlons, yoga, and bodybuilding. She is an IFBB Pro Figure competitor, ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist, and Certified Senior Fitness Specialist. She loves helping people with their health and fitness goals whether it be weight-loss clients, athletes, competitors, or just lifestyle training. When she’s not training clients she is busy being a full time mom of her 4 children
Shannon Mitchell is a mom of 7 and a grandma. She’s married to her high school sweetheart and they love spending time with their family. Hiking is her favorite form of cardio. She started at our gym in 2013 as a client and fell in love with lifting so she became a fitness competitor. During her first competition season she placed 3rd in her first stage appearance and then placed 1st in the Idaho Cup, earning her the opportunity to compete at USA’s the following summer. Shortly after she did her training through NASM to become a personal trainer. After helping many clients achieve their goals, Shannon decided to compete again last year and placed 2nd in the Masters division. She loves challenging herself to be strong and healthy. Her favorite thing about being a trainer is helping people gain self confidence as they transform their bodies and lifestyles. She is excited to help you with your goals, whether you want to lose weight, change your body composition, run a marathon or compete.
My name is Olivia! I have a B.S. in Kinesiology, specializing in physical rehab. My professional background is in both, recreational fitness and physical therapy. Personally, my fitness journey started in athletics, but has since evolved into powerlifting and bodybuilding. But my passion for fitness isn’t limited to the gym, I love outdoor recreation, and really any kind of physical activity. I have experience with clients whose goals vary from competition prep, to lifestyle change and weight loss. I also have experience with clients interested in addressing a nagging injury through exercise rehab. My goal as a trainer is to educate my clients, build better habits, and ultimately enhance their confidence. I’d love to get to know you, and share my passion!
Colton is a certified personal trainer and nutrition specialist who studied exercise science at Boise State University. He has been training at Big Jon’s since 2017, before which he served for 6 years in the US Army where he helped fellow soldiers train for physical preparedness tests and mission readiness. As a personal trainer he has experience with lifestyle and weight loss transformations, as well as bodybuilder competition preps and youth athletics. Colton’s clients range in age from 15 to 70, and he enjoys adapting to each individual’s goals. Colton is a competitive bodybuilder, and he likes the long hours at the gym lifting weights. But, when he’s not at the gym he spends his time outdoors with his dogs, or hunting and hikin
I’m an extremely enthusiastic person who gets excited by any success, wether it’s big or small. I’m a devoted Wife and Bonus mom, so I know what it is like to become wrapped up in day to day life that you forget your name and who you are. That being said, I absolutely LOVE helping clients find themselves and watching their confidence grow. I see so much potential in everyone and just want to help you be the best version of you! I currently have 6 certifications, 3 NASM which are CPT, group exercise, and nutrition. I have my ACE CPT. Kettlebell 1 & 2, and TRX certification. I do have a Zumba certification. However, other than me dancing in excitement every time we nail a milestone, those days are behind me! I’ve been apart of the big jon fitness family since 2015. I have my own story and journey with Big Jon. I started gaining weight, I was in denial. It seemed like it came on so fast. I didn’t know what to do; I actually gave up. I knew i couldn’t do it alone and wanted help. With Big Jon’s guidance and support, I lost over 50 lbs and learned how to make the right choices and live a healthy lifestyle! I’m a firm believer that accountability and the right knowledge is the difference maker! This lifestyle is possible for anyone. It is all about taking time to make it a habit and learning your own strength and weaknesses. Just remember you totally can do this!
